Such a gem! Just plan ahead. Bring your own wine (no corkage), order the $35 set Couscous menu (lamb was amazing), and prepare to grab your own water and wine glasses as this place is lovingly run by a small family. 4 of us shared 3 plates and no leftovers but happily full. Amazing cookies for dessert to go with delicious Moroccan tea. The only reason I give this place 4 and not 5 stars is because the lighting could use a bit more table focus (candles maybe), no table cloths, think paper napkins, and the self-serve aspect. But other than that you feel well-loved by the lamb and couscous cooked to delicious perfection. Not sure the vegetarian options are as plentiful.

Wow! I just discovered this total hidden gem of Alameda. It's a mom and pop type of restaurant, where the furniture is a bit worn and silverware feels cheap. Don't let that deter you. The dining area is full of character, though I think it can benefit from playing a bit of Moroccan music at a reasonable volume. The location is great and the view is fantastic. Go for a walk along the bay after your meal. The chicken isabella (sandwich) was absolutely incredible. The flavor is unique and delicious. Skip the pita bread. I will go back to try more menu items!

The roast lamb leg caught my eye - tagine in two flavors! My kids also love lamb and since it was my birthday, the 11 of us dove into (2) orders of each lamb choice, several side, babaganough, grilled eggplant (yum!), appetizer platter of all choices, warm pita. We made it just in time for the sunset and sat at the front outside. The interior is very good size if we decide to dine in another time. It was a very hot day so the patio seating worked best. I brought my husky and she felt quite at home. Abigail is a young woman who started this restaurant recently. She's done a marvelous job! I will return and highly recommend it

This restaurant is tucked away in Ballena Bay. I wouldn't have found it if it weren't for Yelp. There's a patio out front with several plastic tables and chairs facing the bay overlooking the city. The view is amazing! We walk in and the place is empty. The menu is written on a big chalk board above the counter and you order your food there. As we browse through the menu, we waited a bit for someone to greet us. We both order the vegetarian plate and Moroccan mint iced tea. It was a beautiful day so we took a seat out in the patio. The food didn't take long and we devoured it. The eggplant was cooked perfectly w/ grilled onions on top. It was very flavorful, and loved the texture. Eggplants get mushy, but this was well done and delicious in my opinion. It came with a side salad w/ a vinaigrette dressing. I was very satisfied with this meal and the portion was just perfect. The Moroccan mint iced tea paired well with the meal. We're definitely coming back for more.

Dined here for an early dinner with friends and was pleasantly surprised how peaceful it was - spacious and not too busy. Very easy parking. The food came out quickly and was a good size portion. Self serve utensils and water.

Went to seek an adventure on a rainy cold quiet day. I was on the hunt for something new about coffee. I found a new treasure here! They serve the most delicious decadent aromatic Moroccan coffee! I'll be back for the cuisine another day. The service was great and the views you'll find nostalgic.

Quality/Quantity - Moroccan Saffron Rice with Chicken Breast & Caramelized Onions - Good flavors. Looks like good quantity, but I was actually still hungry when I left. The chicken breast was cut thin, not good or bad, just not enough for me. And I'm a light eater... The rice and salad looked like good portions and had good flavor, but again, I left hungry. Moroccan Saffron Rice with Eggplant, Bell Peppers & Onions - My buddy ordered this and left hungry also. He joked that his eggplant was more filling than my chicken. Specials available, see picture. Atmosphere - Cool decor, especially the outside seating. Cool water views. Plenty of parking, both in the parking lot and in the street. Open 6 days a week from 10am until - See picture or Yelp. Closed Mondays. Service - Family run business, counter service. Everyone seemed nice. Went out of their way to show us the outside mall shared bathrooms. Price - $30 + generous tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2010. I can not remember the last time I was here or if there are previous business/owners? Either way, I will be back.
